Car Parking

Parking your car at Technologiecampus Gent

When you travel to the conference by car, we recommend to use the car park of our campus. Free parking is available at Technologiecampus Gent for registered participants during the conference (Thursday and Friday).

Car park location. Use the campus entrance at Gebroeders De Smetstraat 1, 9000 Gent. This entrance is located between the M and N buildings. P1, the underground car park of the L and M buildings, is reserved for BNAIC participants.

Opening hours. On Thursday 3 and Friday 4 November, the campus is accessible by car from 7:30 until 22:30. On Wednesday 2 November you can only enter the campus by car from 19:00 until 21:00.

Parking your car outside the campus

Within the city centre, you could use one of the official parking lots (in Dutch) operated by Parkeerbedrijf Stad Gent, or the parking facilities of your hotel. On-street parking is charged in most parts of the city, and often time-restricted. This flyer (in Dutch) gives an overview of the charging zones throughout the city (the free 2h disc parking zone is not shown on the map!). The Parkeerwijzer (in Dutch) offers information street by street.

Wednesday evening. 2 November is not an official holiday, so on-street parking will be charged on Wednesday. The campus is accessble by car from 19:00 until 21:00. On Wednesday evening, it is also possible to park your car for free in the campus neighbourhood. For example, Aloïs Joosstraat and IJskelderstraat are inside the free 2h disc parking zone, in which disc usage is required from 9:00 until 18:00. Bargiekaai en Gebroeders De Smetstraat are inside a parking zone which is only charged until 19:00.
